Proofreading removes technical errors like typos, punctuation mistakes, and incorrect statements, while leaving creative content and author voice totally intact.
Medium Edit

A medium edit includes a proofread for technical errors, plus feedback on some subjective matters like wordiness or passages that might be confusing to readers. A medium edit might also include some structural and stylistic advice, i.e., rearranging paragraphs for clarity, or pointing out jargon that the reader would be unlikely to know.
Heavy Edit

“Heavy edit” might sound intimidating, but this does not necessarily mean a total overhaul of your writing. Heavy editing is your best choice if you would like in-depth feedback about the content of your piece, like suggestions about consistency of character behavior, improving readability, smoothing transitions, and possibly working with you to rewrite weaker sections of text, if you so choose. Heavy edits are especially useful for first drafts, as I can take the bulk of the review off of your hands.
